Whenever I come to the internet cafe I always read the comments from yesterday before I type my post. As I sit here in the internet cafe today, I am getting many funny looks...like "Why is that crazy American girl crying and laughing?" Well, it is because after reading Mark's comment I am in tears. Mark, we love you and miss you so much! We are so blessed to have met you and Carol and Hannah, the three of you will always be family to us! I think Clay misses you the most. I think he was a little "ill" yesterday. HA HA (Only Mark will get that) He misses talking to you about God, ball, the states, and guys stuff. He loves us but misses your talks now he only has "girl talk" or "baby talk" with the occasionally watching of Friends :-)
Yesterday was good. We met a very nice family from Spain for pizza that is adopting a little girl about a month older than even from another baby home. There adoption was granted last Friday. Continue to pray for waiting families. There are two other couples here with court dates coming up that we are also hoping to meet this week.
This afternoon we are meeting some friends of Kirsten's who are missionaries here. They are going to walk around the city with them.
Carol and I are out now and naptime is almost over, in-fact I can probably guarantee that one if not both of the kids are probably up. I wonder how Da-Da is doing with both of them. It is so great to see him interact as a father, it is something that I have waited so long for and it is the sweetest site in the whole world.
Evan went down for nap really well today. We were very excited! He is getting better and better at it. I think he is finally realizing that we will always be there for him and that we won't be gone when he wakes up.
Less than a week left here in Irkutsk. We leave Saturday am, Friday night for you guys. Please pray for a good flight for us. We hope Evan does well.
Tammy, We gave Alex the Minnie Mouse and he said that he would deliver it to Olga.
Clay is going to the baby home one day this week with Alex or Andrew to spend time with Anicka, Nathan, and Sasha hopefully he will get lots and lots of great photos and video. We love you guys! You will be here soon.
We love you and miss you all!

Brandi, I was halfway in tears reading Mark's post and I wasn't even there or know them :) What a wonderful blessing you all were and will be for each other, just like you and Clay are for Brian and I! Hopefully Clay will be able to get some pixs of Nathan - that will be great! Wishing you a wonderful last few days in Irkutsk - memory building days - and then frantic re-packing ones!
Love, Debbie
Clay, Brandi, and Evan,
It's good to know everything is going well over there. I know you guys are probably getting pretty anxiuous to come home, but at least you are enjoying the experience while you all are there. Anyway, I really look forward to seeing the three of you in about a week and a half. Enjoy the rest of time away and have a safe trip home.
Love, Brent
I have been keeping up with you guys and just couldn't keep from writing. As I read I can't help but feel so excited, but at the same time I have a tear in my eye and a tug in my heart. I have grown to know you so much more through your posts. It is so sad that we don't see each other enough. It seems like only yesterday that Clay was running around in his diaper carrying that plastic bat and ball. I was at Melanie and Kenny's all the time. I miss that Hodges clan. I am also so glad to find that you have the Lord so strongly in your heart. Evan is so blessed to not only be coming to a loving family in America, but also to a family who loves the Lord. I will continue to keep you in my prayers as you continue your journey and make your way back to Social Circle. I can't wait to see you all and give you each a huge hug! May God bless you even more with a safe and speedy return home with your new Evan.
With much love,
Katie
I wanted to share something with you guys. Today, when I went to pick up Ana-Grace from her baby sitter's, Mrs. Sandie (Ana-Grace's sitter) said to me, "Well, today is 'day 10' for the Hodges - since their court date - isn't it?" I thought for a few minutes and said, "Yes, I guess it is," and we talked about what would be next in your venture.
I know that seems like a trivial thing to mention to you on this board, but I wanted to because I think it speaks volumes: there are so many people that you have never met (and who you will probably never meet) who are pulling for you, counting the days, thinking about you daily, and praying for you! I am certain that you must be feeling the power of prayer! Please know that you are on the hearts and minds of many of us (and our friends and family) daily.
Sincerely,
Rodney
