Back from the US Embassy

We made it back from the US Embassy, everything went smoothly. We have Evan's passport, birth certificate, adoption certificate, court papers, etc. waiting to fly out. We were hoping that we would be able to get an earlier flight out but it is booked so we will just have to wait until our regular flight. We can't wait to get home. Remember that we will arrive in Atlanta on Friday night at 9:33...hope to see you there!

Renee...I sent you an email at your school address. Email me the info.

Carol...give us a call ASAP!

Love you all!

Hey Brandi & Clay! We miss you guys so much! Can't wait to see you. Glad to hear that all is going well and that all the paperwork is "done". Friday is SO close - but I know it's never too close, right? I meant to call before you left to come to Moscow - do you have a phone number there that I can call you at?

We think & pray for you every day!

Sandy

Yes, you guys are short timers. Under 100 days you become a two digit midget. But since your three days out you have become one digit midgets. We also have a term when you get one day out put not the place to spell it out, I’ll explain it in October. Our prays remain with you all. Hang Evan on the wall for me. Missing my southern family!

Worship God,

Mark

Hodges Family - How wonderful! Too bad you can't get a quicker flight out but maybe this will help the jet lag upon your trip home. Prayers and blessings for a safe flight - will catch up with you when you're back on US soil.

We had a fun gathering Sunday and 'toasted' your success! Sid & Alysa were here with Sophia so they talked to us alot about Irkutsk and their experience. We were able to show them your picture w/Evan so they know who they carried the video for in December! They were happy to see it!

Missing emailing you! Love, Debbie

Dear Hodges Family,

Congratulations!!!! I remember vividly releasing a huge sigh of relief after our Embassy appointment, knowing that you have EVERYTHING that you need to finally bring your sweet child home! I am rejoicing with you as you finish up this last week in Moscow and finally head home. Sounds like Evan did much better on his first flight than Marina did...Praise God!!! Continuing to pray for you this week, and I really can't wait to hear that you've landed back in the good ol' USA so we can welcome our newest US citizen!!!

Clay, Brandi & Evan,
Just wanted to tell you that I can hardly wait till ya'll get home. I'm not much for writing or talking on the phone but I love you very much. I cut Evan a path to our house today and can't wait for him to walk over here and ring the cow bell on the front porch. Can't imagine how hard it would be to have kids in the service and away from home all the time. Brent, Wesley, & Allyson & Alicia's kids have really helped. Wesley still says that Evan will have to watch while we play ball. I love you all very much.

Can you believe Hannah is letting me stay here this long? It is a little time consuming ...

Safe Journey HOME. I hope everything goes well at airports and that flights are an experience for Evan and not a nightmare. Take care. Thinking of you often. The Mercer's

Wow, you're so close!!! I just want to cry when I think of the three of you together and so close to finally being home. What a miracle. It's hard to believe it's really real (and that it'll be US soon!). Thanks so much for the great effort you made to get to see Anicka. We know it was totally out of your control, as so much of this process is. We'll be praying for a good, peaceful flight home... Got the benadryl? :-)

Much love,
Kirsten (& Vince)
