In case you don't know yet, Evan is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, May 25 at Newton General Hospital. Dr. Cote will be removing his tonsils and adenoids as well as lancing his ear drums to remove fluid. Please pray for Evan and Dr. Cote who is performing the surgery. It is always scary to a mother to see her child be put to sleep for surgery so pray for me too. LOL!
Evan's tonsils are extremely large and are touching each other which makes it difficult to breath, especially when he is sick. The surgery will be done outpatient and will take about 30 minutes with a total of 3 hours or so in the hospital then we will come home for lots of popsicles. Dr. Cote says that it is very important for him to drink and eat lots of fluids, please pray that Evan will be cooperative.
Thanks in advance for your prayers!
Brandi
Oh yeah...Today was an awesome day! Happy Mother's day to me! Our second one at home, last year we had been in the US for about 30 something hours. Evan and Clay surprised me with a 3 step body treatment at the spa...I can't wait!

What an unbelievable year!!! But a more "Hodges" child you could not have created. I will pray that everything goes well with Evan's surgery. I sure you will need it more than Evan will.
WE LOVE ALL OF YOU!!!
Allyson, Mike & the kids
Brandi & Clay, know that we'll be praying for all of you as Evan has his tonsils removed; I'm sure it will be much harder on you and Clay than on Evan. And, Brandi, Happy Mother's Day! You're obviously a wonderful mother!

Hey Brandi,
We will be praying for both of you. We have been through the out patient thing many times with Noah...it never gets any easier on mom. May God be with y'all and the Doctor. Speaking from experience, God hears and answers our prayers!
God is good...all the time.

We will be praying for Evan's Surgery! Those little guys are braver than the parents most of the time.

Praying for all of you! Especially for mom & dad as it will be harder on you!! Love from The Ninmanns
Jackson had his aednoids out not too long ago, and everything went very smoothly. It was very difficult for us, though, sitting and waiting! I know that Evan will be fine! We will definitely be praying for all of you on the day of his surgery!
Much Love,
Todd, Amber, Carter and Jackson
Hey B!
I will certainly be praying for you, Clay, Evan and Dr. Cote. Dr. Torsiglieri ( Dr. Cote's partner) took my tonsils and adnoids out when I was 32 years old! They are right, the key to fast healing is drinking LOTS of fluids. I drank alot of fluids and did fine. I'll pray Evan cooperates. If you need anyone to come with you or anything, just let me know.
Love Ya!

We'll be praying for Evan's surgery. I really enjoyed reading your blog
entries about your Forever and Adoption Day celebrations. How wonderful.

Danielle had to have surgery when she was only 3 months old. Trust me, it will be harder on you than it will be on him. He will be fine, kids are so resilient. Please know that ya'll will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Hello!! I just took a few minutes out to read some of your blogs... it is hard to find time to think and read unless it is past 10:00! haha I wanted to let you know that Dr. Cote is the doctor that did Macey's surgery .. you know.. when she was sick for 2 years and he found out during the surgery it was a PIECE OF PAPER! He is a super great guy and was wonderful to Macey... It is VERY hard to see them wheeled off in the wagon drugged up a bit.. but know that the staff over there is WONDERFUL!!! I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers... Love ya'll

Hey, girl! I just want you to know that I will be praying for all of you as I always do. Don't worry about a thing. I was 3 when I had my tonsils out and Meredith had hers out last year. It is such a common thing. I know he will feel so much better after he has this done and recovers. He will probably be a different child. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need anything at all. I am here for you. Let me know how he is doing.
Love Ya, girl!

Hey Brandi, seems like you just came home with Evan! Your lives will change
for the better after that surgery! Both of our boys had tubes in their ears
done by Dr. Torsiglieri who is Dr. Cote's partner! PS Dr. Cote is a
graduate of Roswell High School------my school! His younger brother was in
my class! Hope all is well. Sounds like it is!
See ya,

Hi, Brandi!
Thanks for letting us know about Evan’s upcoming surgery. We will pray. We’ll be waiting to hear how it goes.
Happy late Mother’s Day!
Love,

Brandi, I didn't want to call you again and bother you but I did want to check and see what time Evan's surgery is tomorrow. We will be praying for ya'll! Try to get some rest tonight if you can. I am sure you already know tomorrow, tomorrow night and the next couple of days can be long.
We love ya'll!!!

Hi Brandi,
I don't mean to be impersonal but I tried to contact you by phone and your line was busy.
We wanted to know how Evan was recovering from his surgery. Hopefully, he is enjoying all of those popsicles. Please tell him that Chandler and "Chandler's Mom" said Hello. Oh yeah, J.C. said to ask Evan can he have a lollipop?!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that we are praying for little Evan today. Please let us know if you need anything.
