Happy Birthday Ella and Elijah, 1/08/08!!!

Baby Girl...Ella Sofiya Hodges was born first at 8:02 am on January 8, 2008. Her weight was5 lbs. and 11 oz. Then Baby Lije...Elijah Day entered the world just a minute later at 8:03am. His weight was 5 lbs. and 2 oz.
Ella gave us a scare when we didn't hear her crying...she was a bit stuck and the cord was wrapped around her neck twice. You can see the bruises on her little legs where the doctor had to pull to get her out. As I was in the recovery room, Clay came in and told me that Elijah had to go to the NICU because his blood sugar was low at 16, his sister's was in the 80's. I'll add more details later (for us mainly) but for those of you whom might not know....the babies were born on Tuesday, we came home with Ella on Saturday, and then returned to bring Baby Lije home on the following Tuesday. All is well with his blood sugar now and it shouldn't ever be an issue...his body just needed to learn how take control.
