Our Brother's Hands
When we came into the world
Mommy held us out to you.
She said touch us softly.
She showed you what to do.
Your hands proudly held me,
You claimed us as your own.
You asked if we were for keeps,
If you could take us home.
Your hands are Mommy's helpers,
Anything to make us smile,
Hunting for our lost pacifier,
Pushing the stroller for a while.
Your hands are our amusement
Playing peekaboo with sheets,
Humpty dumpty and pat a cake,
Tickling our tummy and our feet.
Your hands are our heroes.
We watch intently as you play.
Our curious eyes will follow you.
We want to be like you one day.
As we all grow older
A bond both strong and deep
Between us and our big brother
Who gave us his love for keeps.
Evan is such a great big brother to his babies. They love to hear him sing to them when they are crying, he does a great job settling them down. He makes up songs about what they'll do one day or about him being their brother...it's so precious.
An early morning feeding for Ella by sleepy Big Brother who is very focused on his morning cartoons. (7 wks.)

"Shhhh, it's okay brother."
