January 16, 2008 Evan's first GEORGIA snow!!
Just a couple of days after we got home we had our first GA snow since Evan has been home. I was so sad that I couldn't go out and play with Evan. I've been begging for snow since we got home from Russia...I kept telling everyone, "I just want to play in the snow with my little boy" It finally snows and I can't...what a major bummer for me. Anyway, Evan and Daddy had a ball in the snow. Evan kept telling Clay what snow in Russia is like. He would say things like how much colder it is in Russia and that there is lots more snow than we had. Evan "taught" his Daddy how to make snow angles...we're guessing he learned that one from t.v.. Evan and Daddy had a ball! I enjoyed watching them from the window chase each other with snowballs and sliding down the slide. I'm so thankful for the snow because Evan had a ball and some special one on one time with his Daddy.
Our first snow together...April 2005...Evan was 21 months old and so tiny!!!
It's been a while since our little Siberian boy played in the snow. Almost, 3 years ago actually. I can't believe that it's been that long. When we were last with Evan in the snow he wasn't sure exactly who we were. He recognized our faces from the picture taped to his bedboard and from his photo album that he carried around, but we were suddenly story book characters that came to life. It's so hard to believe sometimes that he is even the same little boy. The child who was once so timid and nervous now shakes away fear of almost anything. That first week learning Evan and him learning us a Mama and Papa then Mommy and Daddy and not just pictures in a book was by far one of the best weeks of my life.

Love the snow pictures! Reminds me of our trip down by you 3-years ago when the freezing rain/snow hit... This looks like MUCH more fun! And Evan actually remembers the snow in Russia? Oh, wow... that is amazing! Love, Debbie
Now how many times have I asked you to come to visit in winter only to be turned down? You really wanted to play in the snow? Well, I guess as long as it warms up the next day, huh? This year we've only had a little bit more snow than you. I want a big snow storm so we can go sledding.
Both of you can come to Wisconsin any time this year - it started snowing early December and hasn't stopped! Another 6" supposed to come tonight :) !! Debbie
