Continued Prayers

Update on the Holmes family...waiting for 3rd court.

I wanted to post an update about our friends in Russia who are there to adopt their son. They have now been to court twice and both times, it was postponed. The husband is flying home as we speak to get back to work. He will need to return whenever they get another court date. The wife and 5-year-old son are staying in Irkutsk at least through the end of this week. The judge has ordered the birth mother and the 6 remaining Russian families who decided not to adopt this child to file papers with the court by October 30. The wife is waiting to see what happens after that deadline to decide if she will stay in Irkutsk until this is really done, or, if it looks like it could take a month or more to get another hearing with the judge, if she and her 5-year-old will come home to wait. Please pray for them as the Lord brings them to mind. As you might imagine, they are very discouraged and frustrated. They are under a lot of stress – financial, emotional, physical – and just want some definite answers.
