Cheerios

I couldn't tell you how many boxes of Cheerios we bought while we were in Russia. For a couple of days, it was the few things that we could actually get Evan to eat. On top of our bookcase in the office sits an empty Russian box of Cheerios that serves as a happy reminder of our time there.

I can certainly say, we bonded over Cheerios...I think that's what makes this commercial so special to me.

I've seen it before and it still makes me cry. Oh, I remember those days with Evan, all he would eat was those cheerios. When we went to Vietnam we took them with us and Josiah loved them. I had to start rationing them because we couldn't find them there and I knew I'd need them for the trip back. He was great until he was placed in the carseat on the drive home from the airport. As long as he had the cherrios he was fine. When they ran out he screamed the rest of the way (50 miles). So, we have our Cheerio memory too!

I saw it awhile ago too and I always loved it. It was Cheerios that convinced Skip to stop crying on the day we arrived to bring him home. Gee you might say Cheerios is the official adoption snack!
