About Us

Hodges Five: The Journey of The Hodges Five began 11 years ago when we were married on April 11, 1998. After deciding we wanted to have children, God directed us to adoption. In February 2004 we received pictures of a beautiful baby boy, named Denis. We immediately feel in love with his soulful blue eyes. At that moment, we said, "We have a son!" April 2004 we traveled to Siberia, Russia. Here we met our son for the first time; he was 9 months old, already the joy of our life. We had a wonderful week with him and saying good-bye was the hardest thing we'd ever done. One year later, we were allowed to return to Irkutsk to finalize the adoption of our son and Denis became Evan Denis Hodges. That's when we OFFICALLY became, Hodges...family of three! A few years later we wanted to add to our family and Evan constantly prayed for a baby. For the first time, we decided to do fertility treatments because of the expanded cost of adoption. After one treatment, we found out that Evan’s prayers had come true. We then found out that our prayers had been doubled and on January 8, 2008 Ella and Elijah were born and that's how we became The Hodges Five. Follow along with us as we grow with each other.
