We have good news! We finally have a court date! Our son will become Evan Denis Hodges on April 15th! We must be in Russia by April 4th, which means we will leave the USA on April 2nd. We will arrive in Russia exactly one year to the day. We are so excited! Now the fun begins! Thank you all so much for everything you have done for us! We are so thankful for each and every one of you, you will never know how special you are to us both. We love you all so much!

We did not have the experience you described. Alex's mother was our
babysitter. She was there on time and did fine with Tati. She does not
speak any English so it was difficult for me to communicate with her.
I did have an experience on the last day with Alex's mom....she took Tati and I to the airport when we were leaving to go to Moscow. The security person at the airport wanted something from me and I had no idea what it was...and of course Alex's mother could not tell me...so eventually she called Alex and he told me what they were saying...I was
a bit stressed.
Try not to stress to much about clothes/shoes. I would bring a size or two bigger than last time you were there. If you are desperate you can always buy things for him. On the "walking street" there are children s
clothes stores with everything you would need. ( Ask Alex and Andrew to point out the street I am talking about). There is also a nice cafe there where you can get pizza, pasta, cakes and coffee...we went there a
few times. It is very modern and we even ran into some Americans who were in Russia on a mission trip there. If I remember right they also have an English menu.
What other questions do you have as you are planning? I am here and would love to give you any info that I have.
