Man it's cold. This Georgia boy and girl are having a hard time with the spring time snow. We walked back to the river this morning and chased some more pigeons. Evan loves that. I think he really wants to catch one. He was a little grouchy on the way home, and only wanted Mama to carry him. Usually that tickles her to death, but this was a long walk and my Georgia peach wanted her hands in her pockets, not to mention Evan, plus a snow sut, mittens, and hat probably doubles his weight. It was still fun though. Also, Mark Schatte is a magician in the kitchen. We go to the market and I don't see anything that looks good to me, but we still buy the place out. We then get home and he goes to work. We've had spaghetti, pork roast, cheese burgers, and all kinds of vegetables. If it weren't for him, we would be eating a lot of cereal. He even tricked me into eating eel the other night, it wasn't that bad, but after he told me what it was (and I don't know if it was raw or not, but it was cold when I ate it), I almost got sick.
We forgot to mention this story from Saturday, but it sure was special. Brandi and I were walking to the river, and I told her how nice it was when the judge said that Denis Didenko's name would now be Evan Denis Hodges. I then repeated it twice "Evan Denis Hodges, Evan Denis Hodges". I looked over at Evan, and realized that as I had been saying his name, Evan was pointing to himself. He's only twenty-one months old, but it's like he knows what is going on. Now that he knows his name, if he'd just learn his bedtime. We can dream, can't we?

Hey Clay - if Evan is anything like you were when you were his age about bedtime, I'd give him a couple of years!! Tell Mark how much I appreciate him feeding you, Brandi & Evan. Kids never get too big for Mama's to stop worrying about what they eat. Give Evan lots of hugs & kisses from Grandma and Grandpa - we love and miss you all. Stay safe & warm.
I was wondering how your "thin blood" was handling the weather! I see the forcast is for some more snow/rain but then hitting the 50's - that's still cold for you tho, isn't it? LOL
I'm sure glad you got to room with someone who cooks - I was a little worried! That soup would only tide you over for so long :) Thinking of you guys while we've been eating Mexican the past two weeks!
Love to all - Deb
we are so ready yo see him!!!! we love ya' and enjoy him cause i am so going to spoil him when ya'll get here!!!!
