The First Day of Spring...2009 (Post 1)

We had a blast celebrating the first day of Spring! Evan was out of school for a teacher workday and Wesley had spent the night before so he was here with us. The day started out as normal but ended up far from it. (see why in the next post)


Early in the day, the boys were already "bored" so I knew it was time to come up with some ideas. The babies were napping and I suddenly remembered that I had a box of my granddaddy's old ties. So I decided that we would turn them into snakes. We stuffed the snakes with cotton, hot glued the ends shut, added a felt tongue and some eyes. The boys really enjoyed it. I just realized that we don't have a picture of the finally product, so I'll have to add that later. We also made one for the babies, which they too love.
