The First Day of Spring...2009 (Post 2)

After the babies woke up from their nap we went outside. The weather could not have been any better for the first day of spring. I mixed up some of our favorite sidewalk paint. (so easy... water, a little cornstarch, and food coloring, it washes off when it rains...plus everything is edible so it's non-toxic for the little ones)

The big boys enjoyed painted but I think it was the little kids who enjoyed it even more. Elijah immediately wanted to join in on the fun. I handed him a brush and showed him what to do and he was so excited. He would squat down to put the brush into the pan and paint then immediately jump up, look at me and smile...as if he was so proud of his accomplishment. The kids painted for the longest time. This was the first of many art projects for the babies, so I didn't really know what to expect. I kept them in the pajamas so that they could get as messy as they wanted.

I was very impressed with how long the babies stayed focused on painting, they painted on paper and on the driveway.

Everyone hard at work
Ella's very first artwork!

Elijah's very first artwork!

This was his, jump up and show Mommy pose after each painting.

All so precious but I love this last shot of Elijah trying to pull (or push I guess) the big boys! How cute!
